April 29, 2010 : Today was a match between Windward Island vs Australia in ICC Twenty20 World Cup Season 2010. This was the 9th warm-up match of the T20 world cup. The match was played at Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia, West Indies. Windward Islands won the toss and choose to field first. It was turns out a big mistake as Australia got to a flying start with opener David Warner and Shane Watson. Both the openers destroyed the bowling of Windward Islands. Shane Watson was the first man who back to the pavilion after scoring 17 Runs. The Australia team total score was 57 at the loss of one wicket. After that Captain Michael Clarke along with David Warner carried the momentum of the game. David Warner scored his Second fifty in a row. The Australia team heads toward a big total. David Warner was departed after scoring 51 runs. The Australia team middle order batsman David Hussey hits some big shorts and increase the run rate up to 8 run per over. Australia team with a good batting performance by their batsmen sets a big target of 189 runs in 20 over for the Windward Islands.

Windward Island started their run chase with TD paine and J Charles. It was not a great start for the Windward Island. Australian bowler Dark Nanes and Shuan Tait provides early wickets for the team as both the openers got out in power play over. After two quick wickets the Windward team under lot of pressure the run rate was increasing and their players not able to score quick runs for the team. The Australia team is picked up wickets in regular intervals. DT Christain and LOD James was the highest run scorer for the Windward Island both players scored 20 run. The Australian peace attack finally wraps up the batting of Windward Island at just 88 runs in 20 over. The Australian registered their Victory by 101 runs. It was one of biggest Win in T20 Cricket.
