April 29, 2010 : Today was a match between Zimbabwe vs Pakistan in ICC Twenty20 World Cup Season 2010. This was the 11th warm-up match of the T20 worldcup. The match was played at Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia, West Indies. The Pakistan team won the toss decided to field first. Zimbabwe Opener H Masakadza and CJ Chibhabha started the Innings of Zimbabwe. Pakistan Captain Shahid Afridi strikes early and took the wicket of CJ Chibhabha in the first over of the match. Zimbabwe straight away on the back foot. Taibu this time failed to contribute some run for the team and departs after scoring just 2 runs at the bowling of Sami. The total team score of Zimbabwe was 16 runs at the loss of two wickets. The middle order batsmen batted very well for the Zimbabwe team. CK Coventry and E Chigumbura backed Zimbabwe back in the match with their 50 runs partnership. Both the players dominated the bowling of pakistan in the last few overs. The Zimbabwe scored a fighting total of 143 runs in 20 over. E Chigumbura was the highest run scorer for the Zimbabwe team he scored 49 runs in 35 balls and remain not out.
Pakistan team had to chase a decent total of 143. Kamran Akmal and Khalid Latif started the proceeding for Pakistan team. Pakistan team early lose their first wicket Khalid Latif was out at the bowling of Mpofu. The Pakistani top three batsmen disappointing the fans with their bat. Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal and Mohammad Hafeez thrown their wickets after a good start. The Pakistan teams four wickets down at the score of 64 in 9.2 overs. Fawad Alam and Misbah ul haq dominated the bowling of Zimbabwe But after the dismissal of these two the match was totally turn in Zimbabwe favor and in the end Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan by 12 runs. Kamran Akmal was the highest run scorer for the Pakistan team, he scored 37 runs in 27 balls.
