Jan 21, 2011 : It was the 4th ODI match between India vs South Africa. The home team won the toss and they decided to bat first. The Captain Smith and Amla provide South Africa a slow start. Both the players added a fifty run partnership for the 1st wicket, Smith was got out after scoring 18 runs in 30 balls. Amla continued his good run and added useful run for South Africa. He was not getting the support from other end as Van Wyk and Ab de villiers got out in very quick session. The inform Amla scored another half century and looked in good touch. It was a mix up between Amla and Dumminy that provide team India a much needed wicket of Amla after scoring 64 runs. The total team score of South Africa was 115 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. It was Dumminy played a magical innings along with tail Enders. In the end with fine half century from Dumminy South Africa team setting a total of 265 runs in 50 Over.
Team India youth brigade had to bat well for getting this score. RG Sharma and Patel started the run chase for team India. Both the players failed to provide a good start and got out in quick session. It was early break through for South Africa. After these quick wickets the team India batting collapsed and their batsmen was not able to stay at the crease. South Africa bowling looked in great control. On the other hand it was looked very difficult for team India batting. It was not a good day for team India batting and they were failed to gave their best in the field. Team India finally mange’s only 142 run in a rain interrupted match. The South Africa team won the match by 48 runs by D/L method.
