Dec 10, 2010 : It was the 5th and final ODI match between India vs New Zealand Team. The Team India already won the series. The New Zealand team won the toss chooses to field first. MJ Guptill and McCullum started the innings of New Zealand team. There start was as always not good and there top order batsmen was failed to score runs. The Team India peace attack make things very difficult for New Zealand team batsmen. The New Zealand team five batsmen were got out and they have only 73 runs on the score board. The New Zealand team was in deep trouble. After a bad start the New Zealand team ended at a low score with some fine bowling performance by team India spinners. The Part time spinner Yuvraj Singh and youngster Ashwin Wrapped up New Zealand team tail enders and New Zealand team finally setting a low total of 103 runs in 27 over.
The Team India got a brilliant day with the bowl and it was not a big score for team India. The Captain Gambhir and Patel started the run chase for team India. Team India not getting the right start as Gambhir was got out after scoring first duck of the series. It was a shocking start the youngster Kohli was also failed to carry his good form and got out after scoring only 2 runs. The team India total score was 10 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. It was Parthiv Patel who looked in good touch and stroked some classic short; he was well supported by Yuvraj Singh at the other end. Both of them breaks the momentum of New Zealand team and stroked the ball all round the park. Parthiv Patel scored 2nd half century of this series and get team India to the victory gate. Team India won the match by 8 wickets.
