The New Zealand team had to work on their weakest point and improve their selves. The absent of senior players coasting New Zealand team in this series but on the other hand it will be fair chance for the young players of New Zealand team to perform well and seal their place in the team. The Captain Ross Taylor and Styris will be the key man for New Zealand team. We hope New Zealand team will bounce back into this series with a victory.

Nov 28, 2010 :  It was the 1st ODI match between India vs New Zealand one day international series. Both the teams got a fresh side after an exciting test match series. The New Zealand team won the toss and they decided to field first. Murli vijay and Captain Gambhir started the proceeding for team India. New Zealand team got early break through as Vijay was got out in a attempt of increasing the run rate. It was a good beginning for New Zealand team. The Captain Gambhir and Kholi carried the momentum and stroked some good short. When Gambhir was looked in good touch unfortunately he was got out at the bowling of McKay. It was a big wicket for New Zealand team. The total team score of team India was 92 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. After that Kohli and Yuvraj set the platform for team India. They scored runs in very quick pace and dominated the bowling of New Zealand. It was Virat Kohli who scored another century of his career. Yuvraj singh failed to carry a good start into big score and got out after scoring 42 in 64 balls. In the end the Indian team middle order collapsed and New Zealand team got some quick wicket but with the help of kohli’s brilliant century team India setting a fighting total of 276 runs in 50 over.

The New Zealand team had to bat well on a slow track for getting this competitive total. Guptill and JM How started the run chase for New Zealand team. The start was not a good one for the kiwis team as JM How was got out at the bowling of Nehra. It was a quick break through for team India. Guptill was not able to carry his good start and got out after scoring 30 runs, after loosing early wickets captain Taylor and williamson batted very well and took the New Zealand team score up to 100 runs. It was a brilliant partnership that brings the New Zealand team back into the contest.  When things looked good for the kiwis Williamson was got out at the bowling of Yuvraj Singh. After that wicket New Zealand team Innings was totally out of touch. Their middle order batsmen Styris, Elliot and Tuffey were got out in quick session. The New Zealand team all hopes were over as their captain Taylor was got out after scoring 66 runs in 102 balls. The team India finally wrapped the New Zealand team Innings at 236 runs and winning the match by 40 runs. It was a great victory for team India youth brigade.
