Oct 29 2010 : It was the 1st ODI Match between South Africa vs Pakistan. Both the teams looked much balanced. The Pakistan team had won the toss and chooses to bat first, Asad Shafiq and Mohammad Hafeez start the proceeding for the Pakistan team. The start was not a good one for the Pakistan as Shafiq was got out after scoring just 19 runs in 36 balls.After that wicket Hafeez and Younis pull Pakistan team back into the contest. They added useful runs for the Pakistan team. Both the players scored half centuries and added up to 100 run partnership for Pakistan. The total team score of Pakistan team was 120 runs at the loss of one wicket. The experienced botha break the this important partnership and took the wicket of Hafeez. After that wicket Pakistan team batting collapsed middle order batsmen failed to score run and their wickets were falling at regular intervals. The last six pakistan players was not able to score ten run. In the end after a good start Pakitan innings was wrapped up at 203 runs in 48 over.
It was not a big total for the South Africa team. The South Africa team pleased with their bowling performance. The Captain Smith and Amla started the run chase for South Africa team. The Captain Grame smith was suffering from pain and he was retired hart in the early overs of the match. After that Amla and Kallis played some very good cricketing shorts. They got a over fifty run partnership that makes a good platform for the other batsmen. The Pakistan team got their first wicket as Amla was got out at the bowling of Ajmal. It was a much needed break through for the Pakistan team. The total team score of South Africa was 70 runs at the loss of one wicket. The middle order batsmen AB de Villiers† and Kallis looked in very good touch. They dominated the Pakistani bowlers and scored useful runs. Both the players scored consecutive half centuries. AB de Villiers† was not able to make a big score and got out after scoring 51 runs in 53 balls. The South Africa team was few steps away from victory. In the end Dumminy and Ingram stroked the winning shorts for South Africa. The South Africa won the 1st ODI match by 8 wickets. It was again a disappointing performance by the Pakistan team.
