July 26, 2010 Day 1 : It was the 2nd Test match between India vs Sri Lanka at the Collumbo stadium of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan Captain Sangakara won the toss and decided to bat first. The Openers Dilshan and Paranavitana gave Sri Lanka team a brilliant start they utilize the condition of the wickets and scored quick runs in the first few over. Dilshan was the dominating partner. He stroked some lusty blows and destroyed the line and length of Indian bowlers. The Indian peace attack repeated the story of galle test and failed to picked up wickets in the starting over. Tilakratne Dilshan got another half century to his name. He scored 50 runs in just 40 balls. The Indian team finally takes the breath of relive as Ojha picked up the wicket of Dilshan and provide team their first break through.

The Total team Score of Sri Lanka was 99 runs at the loss of one wicket. It was a good platform to work on for Captain Sangakara. The Captain carried the momentum and scoring runs at a good rate. Both the players tested the nerves of Indian bowlers. In between Paranavitana got second half century of his career. Both the players troubled the Indian bowlers. July 27, 2010 Day 2 : The Sri Lankan team started from 312 runs at the loss of 2 wickets at Day 2. The Sri Lankan team all eyes on two most senior players of Sri Lanka. The Indian Seemers failed to provide early break through and Sangakara smashed them all round the park. He was well supported by Jaywardaned at the other end. Both the players carried the momentum very nicely and added useful runs in the total of Sri Lanka. In between Sri Lanka team Captain Sangakara got to 150. Mahela Jaywardne scored another half Century of his Career. The bowlers were not able to stop these two batsmen. The things are looked in favor of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka team was heading towards a big total. The India bowling attack looked completely out of touch. The Sangakara completed his 7th double hundred and Jaywardne scored a brilliant Century. Both the players got a partnership of 193 runs that helped Sri Lanka to reach a big total. The Captain Sangakara was out at the bowling of Sehwag it was a big wicket for team India. The total team score of Sri Lanka was 466 runs at the loss of 3 wickets. After that Jaywardene and Samaraveera got together and scored runs very quickly. The Indian bowlers were praying for wickets. The Sri Lankan batsman scored runs at a very good run rate. Jaywardne was out after playing a cracking innings of 174 runs in 244 balls. Samraveera remain not out after scoring 76 runs in 121 balls. The Sri Lankan team was finally declared their innings after getting a huge total of 642 runs.

The Indian team needs a good start for getting a big total like this. Virendar Sehwag and Murli Vijay started the Innings of India. Both the players looked in very good touch. They dominated the Sri Lankan peace attack. The Indian team got a good start as team India scored first 50 runs with out loosing any wicket. The brilliant Virendar Sehwag carried his good form in this test match and hit some lusty blows; He was well supported by Vijay at the other end. Virendar Sehwag completed his half century and provides India a much needed start. Finally at the end day 2 team India scored 95 runs with out loosing any wicket. This test match is nicely balanced at the stage.

July 28, 2010 Day 3 : India started the Day 3 and it was a good reply by both the openers of team India. They never have thrown their wickets away at the bowling of Sri Lanka. Virendar Sehwag carried his good form and added some quick runs in the total to team India. Murli Vijay completed his half century in a very unique style. Team India lost their 1st wicket as Sehwag missed out a century and scored 99 runs in 101 balls. It was a disappointing end of a great Innings. After that India lost two quick wickets as Vijay and Dravid. The Sri Lanka bowlers pull things back on track. The Indian team needs a big partnership as Sachin Tendulkar and Laxman get together and knock the ball around. It was a slow start by both the batsman. The team India total score was 173 at the loss of 3 wickets. It was Mendis who took the wicket of Laxman and break the hopes of team India. The Little Master Sachin Tendulkar was the last hope of team India. The Sri Lanka bowlers were bowling in very good rhythm. After that Sachin and Raina played according to the situation. Both the players scored runs in singles and doubles. The Little Master completed another half Century of his Career and looking for a big one. Both these batsmen pull things back on platform for team India. The Little Master scored another century of his career and Raina got to his half Century. The team India scored 382-4 at the end of Day 3.

July 29, 2010 Day 4 : It was the Day 4 for India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test match. A day was totally belonged to Indian Cricket. Team India starts playing 382 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. The Little Master Saching Tendulkar at the crease with Suresh Raina. Both the Players carried the momentum and get things going for team India. Sachin Tendulkar was the dominating Partner he scored runs at a good run rate. The Sri Lankan bowlers were not getting wickets in this test match. In between Suresh Raina completed his Century on his first test Match. It will a great moment for this young player. The things were looked in favor of team India. The Sri Lanka team got their first wicket of the day as Raina was out at the bowling of Mendis. Raina scored 120 runs in 228 balls. After that Captain Dhoni and Tendulkar got together and break the hopes of Sri Lanka team. The Little Master reached to anther milestone as he scored a double hundred and pull things back in team India favor. After scoring a double hundred Tendulkar was out at the bowling of Dilshan. He scored 203 runs at 347 balls. The total team score of team India was 592 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. The Sri Lankan team relived after the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar. The Indian team lower order batsman Harbhajan Singh was out with out scoring any run. The Captain Dhoni stroked a half Century and he was well supported by Mithun at the other end. In the final session of the match Dhoni and Mithun was out after playing a good knocks of 76 and 41 runs. Team India scored 669 at the loss of 9 wickets at the end of Day 4 of 2nd Test Match.

July 30, 2010 Day 5 : It was the last day of 2nd test match between India vs Sri Lanka. India starts playing 668 for 9 at the last day. The lower order batsman added 39 runs for the last wicket as team India was bowled out at 707 runs.

The Sri Lanka team started their 2nd Innings and it was nothing left in this test match for the cricket fans. The match was headed towards a draw. The Sri Lanka openers Dilshan and Paranavitana got Sri Lanka to flying start as they 50 runs for the 1st wicket. Dilshan was out after scoring 14 runs in 41 balls at the bowling of Mithun. After that the century maker of last Innings Parnavitana was caught in the spin of Harbahajan Singh. The total team score of Sri Lanka was 73 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. At the end sri Lanka team declares their innings at 129 at the loss of 3 wickets. The match was ended as draw. Sri Lanka team is still one up in three test match Series. The team India will be really pleased as they saved this test match.

July 26, 2010 : Team Indian will be under lot of pressure in the 2nd Test Match of The Micromax Cup. India will giving it their all to try and level the series in the second test match. The Lankan team dominated in the first test match. The team will hope for a better work from their bowlers. The Indian team was outplayed in the every department of the game. The team Indian had to pull up their socks if they want to give Sri Lanka a tough fight.

The team India poor show in the first test has made things difficult for them. The team is already on to back foot. The things are not working well for the India team. The Indian team was suffering from the bad fitness of their players. The Injury of Gautam Gambhir will coast team India in this test match. The bowling is the main area of concern with the front-line spinners going wicket-less in conditions which are more suitable for spinners. Team India peace bowlers got wickets in the first test match that will be a good sign for the team. In the batting team will depends on their top four batsmen. There is some good news for India though as Muralitharan and Lasith Malinga, who picked up 16 wickets among themselves in Galle, will not be playing at Colombo and that will make life a lot easier for the batsmen.

July 18, 2010  Day 1 :  It was the 1st day of Ist Test Match between India and Sri Lanka. Both the teams are one of the best in the World Cricket. The Coin was turn in the favor of Sri Lanka team. The home team won the toss and elected to bat first. The Sri Lankan team got to a decent start.  NT Paranavitana and TM Dilshan added up to fifty runs for the first wicket. Dilshan was the first man to got out at the bowling of Mithun. It was a good platform set by the openers of Sri Lanka. The captain Sangakara comes out for bat. After the first wicket Sri Lankan batsmen got things back on track both the players scored runs very slowly but keep the wickets in tact. The captain of Sri Lanka team Sangakara leading from the front and dominated the Indian Spinners. The Indian bowling once again dissapointed thier fans. The Indian team main Spinner Harbhajan singh struggled with his fitness. The Sri Lanka opener utilize the oppurtunity and hits some big short. The total team score of Sri Lanka was 158 runs at lunch. After first Session both the players completed thier Centuries and provide Sri Lanka a big rus partnership. Paranavitana scored 110 runs in 229 balls. The Captain Sangakara palyed a brilliant innings of 103 runs at 145 balls. The things was looked very good for the home teams as they played the first two session. July 19, 2010  Day 2 : Day one was not good for the team India. The rain interrupted into the match and the play of 2nd day was called of due to bad weather.

July 20, 2010  Day 3 : A new comes with a new hope the Sri Lanka team started their innings at 256/2. It was not a good start of Day 3 for Sri Lnaka as their well set batsman Paranavitanan was out very early at the bowling of Ishant Sharma. It was a much needed break throug for the team India. The debutant Mithun picked up Samaraweera in the very next over. The Sri Lanka team starts loosing wickets in quick time. The total team score of Sri Lanka was 260 at the loss 4 wickets. After two quick wickets Jaywardene and Mathews played very well and took the Sri Lankan score up to 300 runs. It was Ishant sharma who took the important wicket of Mahela Jaywardene after scoring 48 runs in 123 balls. The Indian team made a brilliant come back at day 3. The sri Lanka team needs a big partnership for a good score. It was Rangna Hearth and Malinga who really turned the match in the favor of Sri Lanka with a partnership of over 100 runs. Both the players scored another half centuries of their career. In the end the Sri Lanka team declared their innings after setting a huge total of 520 runs at the end of their 1st Innings.

The team India had bat really well for saving this test match. Their openers Virendar Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir started the 1st Inning of team India. The start was not a good one for the visitors as Gautam Gambhir was out at the bowling of Malinga. It was a big wicket for the Sri Lanka team. After that Sehwag and Dravid tried very well but the luck was not in the favor of team India as Rahul Dravid was run out after a mix up with Virendar Sehwag. The Sri Lankan team finds wickets at regular intervals.The total team score of team India was 68 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. Virendar Sehwag looked in good touch at the other end and stroked some fine shorts. After those two wickets team India all hopes at the little master. Sri Lanka magical spinner playing his last test match got ride of Sachin Tendulkar. It was a big blow for team India one of his best batsmen was back to pavilion after scoring just 8 runs in 21 balls. Virendar Sehwag completed his half Century. In the end of play Day 3 team India scored 140 runs at the loss of 3 wickets.  Team India had bat very well for saving this test match.

July 21, 2010  Day 4 : Team India starts playing 140 runs at the loss of 3 wickets. Virendar Sehwag and Laxman is looked in good touch in the first ten overs. Both the players looked for a solid partnership. Virendar Sehwag completed another Century of his test career. The sri lankan bowler now started bowling to their plans and Malinga got ride of VVS Laxman after playing a knock of 22 runs in 61 balls. After the wicket of Laxman team Indian collapsed as the in form virendar Sehwag was out at the bowling of welegedara after scoring a brilliant 109 runs at 118 balls. The Captain Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh tried very hard but it was magical spinner Murlidharan who took the wicket of Indian Captain Dhoni and push team India closer to a follow on. The lower order of team India was not able to score runs and they falling like a rain drops. Yuvraj Singh playing very well at the other end but he was not supported by the Indian tail enders. He scored another test match half century to his name. Finally the Sri lankan bowlers wrap up the Indian first Innings at 276 runs in 64 over. The India was not able to avoid the follow on.

Virendar Sehwag and Gambhir started the 2nd Innings of team India. Both the openers was failed to provide team India a good start. Gautam Gambhir added second duck of this test match and Sehwag followed him after scoring just 31 runs in 54 balls. The Sri Lanka team was pleased with their bowling effort. The team India total score was 42 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. It was a huge responsibility on the shoulder of Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar. Both the players started slowly but looked in good touch. They played the Sri Lankan Spin attack very well. It was a over 100 run partnership that back team india into the contest. Both the players controlled the innings of team India. In the Final Session of the match Sri Lanka back their peace bowler Malinga and he provide much needed wicket of Rahul Dravid after scoring 44 runs in 152 balls. The Little master carried the momentum and scored another half century to his name. The Indian team all hopes at Sachin Tendul but he was failed to deliver and got out at the at the bowling of Malinga. It was a big wicket for the Sri Lanka team. The Indian team was struggled in the 2nd innings of this test match. They loss 4 wickets and just 172 run at the score board. In the final moment of Day 4 the magic of Murli works again and he picked up his 6th wicket of this test match as yuvraj singh was back to the pavilion after scoring just 5 runs in 14 balls. The Team India now 63 run behind and they had 5 wickets left in their hunt. The team India scored 181 runs for 5 at the end of day 4. The team India needs something miracle of saving this test match.

July 22, 2010  Day 5 : It was the last and final day of 1st test match of India vs Sri Lanka team India was in deep trouble. They lost thier first five wickets. The Captain Dhoni and Laxman was at the crease at day 5.The Sri Lanka team got a brilliant start at Day 5 as Malinga bowled out the Indian Captain Dhoni after he scroe just 4 runs. It was a big loss for team India. After the wicket of Dhoni it was not so tough for the Sri Lankan spinners to get ride of Indian lower order batsmen. The VVS Laxman and Ashish Nehra tried very hard to save the test match for Indian team but it was not a good day for the team India. Finally with the help of Laxman 69 runs. Team India set a target of 95 runs.

It was not a big ask for the Sri Lankan team. They had to score only 95 runs for a big vicotry. Dilshan and Paranavitana attacked at the Indian bowlers. They scored these runs very quickly. Both the openers scored at the run rate of 6 run per over. The Sri Lanka team in the end got a vicotory by 10 wicket. Sri Lanka team now one up in the 3 test match series. The Magical spinner Murlidharan playing his last test match was the man of the match. He took 8 wicket in the match.
